Raw Material- Where It All Starts

Storage

Raw felt is received at our stores, categorized, and secured in appropriate conditions. Our store employees are responsible for sorting out the raw felt and removing faulty material that may compromise product standards. This is done, by utilizing appropriate equipment and keeping in mind all infection control protocols.

Trimming

Once sorted categorically, the felt is trimmed to be utilized accordingly in production. Trims are examined to ensure they are accurate and consistently high quality according to the permitted standard. The trimmed felt is then mounted on clearly labeled cards to be inspected by the quality control managers and approved by the buyers.

Shipping

Once the buyer approves, the felt samples are inspected before the material can be shipped. The shipment samples represent the production standard and determine whether a batch of trimmed raw felt will be used in manufacture.

We make no concessions in quality control and ensure that the raw material is vigilantly cared for before moving it for the manufacturing process.

Production- Where the Magic Happens

Before initiating the manufacturing process, a pre-production meeting is organized to ensure all relevant departments are aware of their respective duties. The meeting involves confirmation of and discussion on:

  1. Purchase Orders.
  2. Approved standard.
  3. Approved color continuity.
  4. Approved trim card.
  5. Material and Trim inspection reports.
  6. Customer Approved sealed sample and comments.

Once all necessary documentation is complete, production is initiated. A production line is established with quality control checkpoints. Our seasoned artisans utilize authentic hand-felting techniques, creating innovative organic felt crafts.

The products are closely inspected throughout manufacture to ensure good and uniform quality. The quality management system is as follows:

  1. Trim Inspection
  2. Fabric Inspection
  3. QC Station Group 1
  4. Senior Quality Inspector
  5. QC Station Group 2
  6. QC Station Group 3
  7. Inspection Team
  8. End-of-line quality checkers
  9. Final Auditor

Finishing Procedure- Where Our Products Take Their Final Shape

All crafted products are inspected and stored categorically. This procedure involves vigilance in infection control and any defects that may have been missed in production quality control.

Any source of contamination results in the immediate elimination of the product. Hence, our employees must stay up-to-date with all relevant contamination control policies and religiously follow the no-food/drink policy in the finishing department.

Once all products undergo a final inspection, they are cleared for packaging and readied for transit.

To conclude

We consider the creation of felt handicrafts to be a labor of love. Our felt crafts symbolize tradition, patience, care, and priceless value. These ultimately translate into how we manufacture our products, paying due attention to each step. Organic felt is timeless and deserves to be valued and celebrated in all its glory.
