Lost Horizon Handicraft is a family-run brand. Our department consists of four directors and represents perseverance, creativity, and innovation at its finest. We honor good leadership, and our directors set the bar for excellent strategies to continue the steady rise of our brand in Nepal’s Felt industry.
Our department of water felting is the heart of our organization. This method of felting creates a sensory experience and enables the wool to be worked and molded in various ways to create unique felt crafts. This department is subdivided according to the various techniques we utilize during our manufacturing process. Wet felting is the first process, followed by needle felting and/or stitching, resulting in intricately detailed felt handicrafts.
Our accounting and finance department is the backbone of our company. Playing the critical role of documentation and record keeping as well as store management, this department keeps track of all our economic milestones.
Responsible for maintaining the high quality of raw wools and ensuring a hygienic flow of work, this department plays an instrumental role in the quality of our manufacturing process. All employees are trained in infection control protocols and participate in factory cleanings and mobilization procedures.
The whipstitch and blanket stitch are the most frequently employed in our felt appliqué. The main purpose of these stitches is to join two pieces of felt together. Our manufactured felt products can now feature intricate detailing thanks to this technique, creating stunning works of art.
This method involves a small amount of wool rolled up and punctured with a specialized felting needle. The felting needle pulls the sheep wool into itself when it stabs the fiber using a puncturing technique. The end product is a hard circular shape that our talented artisans may transform into one-of-a-kind, fashionable felt crafts.
Representing our brand on international platforms, our sales and marketing department plays a crucial role in sustaining our company’s brand value. With impeccable customer service, our department is fully dedicated to ensuring maximum outreach and valuing all clients.
Responsible for maintaining a systemic workflow and optimum felt product quality, our department abides by a quality control manual, ensuring there is no compromise during our process of manufacture and shipping.
