The foundation for Lost Horizon Handicraft was laid in 2002. We wanted to cultivate the timeless tradition of handicraft weaves to produce eco-friendly felt materials that would portray Nepal’s idyllic beauty. Our company is a product of resilience to promote equality in community development. The revolutionary idea to create a source of empowerment and support for local communities in education, healthcare, and other infrastructures gave rise to our brand.

Progress and change for me have always been a distant reality. Once a milestone is achieved, another one is waiting to be crossed. In my view, progress is the tiny steps one takes towards fulfilling a dream, which often looks like a distant reality. The dream of sustainable and empowered communities served as the driving force behind the inception of Lost Horizon Handicraft. Step by step, we achieved milestone after milestone until change did not look too distant eventually.
Lost Horizon Handicraft is a global player in the organic felt handicraft industry. I can gladly say that the years of experience under our belt have enabled us to adopt a systemic process that produces high-quality handmade felt products and gives back to the local community.
We are building a world-class brand in Handmade Wool Felt Industry that is for the people, by the people. Lost Horizon Handicraft religiously adapts the concept of Fair Trade. All employees recruited in our factories work under safe and hygienic conditions, and any form of discrimination in the work environment is strictly condemned. My vision for this great company was one where the freedom to make a sustainable livelihood was easy. Our employees and artisans not only have impeccable professional skills but understand the value behind creating felt handmade products that highlight the best of Nepalese culture and traditions.
We are in debt to the world we live in. Hence, our brand operates on Green Energy with entirely eco-friendly felt products and processes. Climate change is a present problem that deserves to be addressed in the best ways possible, which is why we are committed to preserving the environment.
